About ISO 45001
ISO 45001 sets requirements for an occupational health and safety management system. It replaced OHSAS 18001 in 2018.
The current edition is ISO 45001:2018, amended in 2024 with a requirement to consider climate change.
A certificate is valid for three years. Surveillance audits take place in the first and second year; before the certificate expires the company goes through a recertification audit.
