About ISO 14001
ISO 14001 sets requirements for an environmental management system: how a company identifies its environmental aspects, legal obligations and improvement objectives.
The current edition is ISO 14001:2015, amended in 2024 with a requirement to consider climate change.
A certificate is valid for three years. Surveillance audits take place in the first and second year; before the certificate expires the company goes through a recertification audit.
